GOLDRUSH THEME PARK CONCEPT

This is another design for a theme park based on the GOLDRUSH of British Columbia, Canada. Its set about 1853. This is a Pen and Ink illustration. The design is mine, but it was a conceptual collaboration with my partner Jeff Cox. Please enjoy the pics and commentary.

Here is the entrance gate which immediately brings you into the bowls of a mine, and removes you from the real world.
Main entrance HUB. right in the downtown of a new goldrush town.
these towns sprung up over night, and included tents and shacks as well as hotels banks and churches.
This saloon is the showpiece of the town and will include a live show and dinner.
Familys will walk along the shore and try their hand at gold panning for real gold!!!
The SS Beaver is permanently docked, ready to take rich miners back home. Explore the boat and learn about life at sea.
Explore the tent retail shops including a bank, and a barber.
There is a chruch as well...say a prayer for gold or check out the graveyard....
At the back across gold creek is the MINERS VILLAGE including a miners hotel/hostel
This is a restaurant and also a miner museum/memorial. Learn the history, watch actual footage and ask questions.

This end is the main site for the mines. It includes 2 main E Ticket Rides. GOLD MINE COASTER (inside the mountains) and CARIBOO TRAIL PACK MULE ADVENTURE (outside the mountain)
CARIBOO TRAIL PACK MULE ADVENTURES takes families on a guided group tour of the mountains of goldrush town.
Climb up the mountains, cross a huge trestle and back down again. Follow the route of the gold miners of the 1800. Wtach for falling rocks, or wild animals or even bandits trying to steal your gold!!!
Water tower!!
GOLD MINERS COASTER is an indoor coaster/dark ride which shows the history of mountain mining including a full size actual mine operation, complete with miners, machines and TNT!!!
Enter in the mining supply shop to prepare for your mine coaster adventure!!
Hope your mine car does not become a runaway car!!!

The style and colors remind me of Maurice Sendak's work. This is really pretty.
